Wines from my homeland

Vinos Latinos is the result of 15 years of experience in importing and distributing wines from South America into the UK.

It all began in 2009, when my first shipment—just a few pallets of wine—arrived from Uruguay and Wines of Uruguay UK was established. New to the wine trade but deeply connected to my homeland, I was determined to show that Uruguayan wines could offer individuality, authenticity, and outstanding value for money.

A few years and a great deal of hard work later, we were supplying many of the country’s leading establishments. Going the extra mile for our customers, alongside a carefully curated range of characterful wines, became the foundation of our growth.

In 2016, our focus expanded beyond Uruguay to explore the wider landscape of South America. We began working with smaller, often lesser-known producers in Argentina and Chile—producers who share our commitment to sustainability, responsible farming, and expressing a true sense of place. This allowed us to build a portfolio that reflects the rich diversity of the continent, from deeply traditional winemaking to a new generation of modern, innovative styles.

As our range and customer base grew, rebranding felt like a natural next step, and Vinos Latinos was born. While the business continues to evolve, our core values remain unchanged. Uruguay will always be a key focus; quality and excellent value will guide every selection; and championing authentic South American wines—made with care for the land and the people behind them—will remain at the heart of everything we do.
