Agustín Lanús Wines
Agustín Lanús produces minimal intervention wines from biodiverse terroirs ranging from 1600 m.a.s.l. to 2,900 m.a.s.l., among the highest vineyards in the world .
Viticulturist and oenologist, Agustin Lanus worked at leading wineries around the world -- Ceretto, Italy; Chateau Beychevelle, France; Rutini, Argentina; Bodega Burdigala, Spain; Quinta Do Malho Lurton, Portugal; KWV, South Africa -- before following his passion for the exploration of extreme altitude terroirs to the remote Calchaqui Valley of his native Argentina.
Working at the limit of where wine grapes can be grown is incredibly challenging but results in grapes with thick, resilient skins rich in tannins and polyphenols, the ideal starting point for a passionate winemaker dedicated to creating wines with the unique qualities found in every bottle.
