Bouchon vineyards

Bouchon Family Wines

The Bouchon family’s winemaking story began in 1887 when Emile Bouchon settled in Chile having moved over from his native Saint Emilion in Bordeaux, but it was in 2015 that Viña Bouchon rebranded as Bouchon Family Wines, highlighting the Bouchon family’s heritage combined with a forward thinking attitude that aims to bridge past and future generations in both wine style and design.

The Bouchon vineyards are located between the slopes of the Coastal Mountain range and the alluvial terraces of the Maule Valley. The region’s soils are amongst some of the oldest in Chile (approximately 120 million years old), and are composed of granitic rocks with a high degree of decomposition, producing wines of great structure and length.

Its hot summers, with drastic temperature fluctuations between night and day, are ideal to achieve great colour concentration in the grapes.

Bouchon are making truly remarkable wines, with a strong sense of place, while retaining the purity of each variety.
